The concept of Drishti Dosha (evil eye) and negative energies (Abhichara) has deep roots in Vedic tradition. The Atharva Veda contains extensive hymns for protection against malevolent forces, affirming that negative psychic influences are a recognized reality in Hindu spiritual cosmology.
